MILANO in winter

There are some really good things about living in Switzerland.. When you have a never ending wanderlust like me, the alps are a perfect spot less than 4 hours away from some fab cities like London, Paris, Munich, Vienna or MILAN. Last weekend I went spontaneously with my mum to the northern capital of Italy. It was snowing like hell (sorry for the bad quality of the pix) and icy cold – nevertheless, we had a great and ‘successful’ shopping day! I share some spots with you, maybe also for a extended trip..

| MAISON BORELLA: a charming little hotel with minimalistic rooms – and a gorgeous backyard (summer) – situated in NAVIGLI.

| Sheraton Diana Majestic: a historic place to stay in milan, close to the centre but far away enough to calm down after an extended shoppingtrip.

| Da Giacomo Bistrot: an absolute must when you are in town. everything on the menu is simply delicious and on a high level, the prices are adequate.

| LUCCA: an ‘old’ place but with a young-hip-stylish look and tasty italian food!

| PIZZERIA del Ticinese: my pizza supplier in town – an absolutely lovely place in Navigli.

LUINI: best place to get some delicious panzerotti during your sight-seeing-trip – situated at ‘Duomo’.

| PRINCI: perfect for a coffee break or lunch. I can not recommend something in particular because everything was perfect. (thanks to the COS-Seller who recommended this place!)

| TAVEGGIA MILANO 1909: the “Budino di Riso” (milk-rice-cakes) are holy! A fine pasticceria with a small caffe in the back. They make cute presents – if you need a souvenir!

| RITA: get your “aperitivo” (small appetizers served with your after-work-drinks) this charming place. For sure the best cocktails in town! After your drinks, you can also get some ‘real’ food there, if you’re still hungry…
