PASTEL HUES ? I’m not THAT kind of girl…

PASTEL HUES

Every year the colorful sprouting flowers bring us a new variation of pastel shades & shapes. These powder blue, rose, light yellow or green tones are pretty popular I think and a lot of women out there can style them totally cool. BUT when I’M wearing pastel hues, I always look like a cute little girl. Tell me: who wants to get noticed as „cute“ in her mid-twenties.

My alternative to those „cute“ shades are all kind of light-denim-blue/-grey/-nude variations – I think a good way to show the lightness spring comes with. Paired with some black accessoires, a favorite look for a sunny spring weekend!

This look is so classic and chic! Love how you paired the distressed jeans with heels and a relaxed button-up since it works perfectly for any occasion.

I love pastels, pairing them with deep moody colors and/or pairing them with other vibrant colors. Don’t think of cute as a statement against how you as a woman. Some women are cute, attractive or simply hot. Sometimes it’s the ensemble you’re wearing, other times it’s just the energy you give off. I think this look is cute. It’s casual, it’s got muted tones, it’s relax and not overstyled. You look like you put thought in to pairing this look but that you have natural style & it took you seconds. Just one girls opinion.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I agree with your meaning of cute – maybe I didn’t point out enough that it is kind of an ironic statement of mine. Or maybe I just used the wrong word – probably girlish would be more appropriate! Could be that I made kind of a german-english misuse 🙂
anyway – thanks for your kind words, I appreciate!
